“Dust is a film that was created through the culmination of several lives and life experiences. I wrote the film as a tribute to the strength it takes to believe that there is a better day— as tribute to my sisters and all of my friends who have experienced those days where faith is an abstract concept. This film is about those we have loved and some that we have lost along the way. Our main character, Saul, is a character who has gone through a terrible experience in his life and this experience continues to lead him in a downwards spiral. However, that is not where we cast our focus. Instead this film is meant to embody the recovery —the act of finding hope when all seems lost.”
